OUR MISSION

Romanian Orthodox Church Hierarch Nicholas and Saint George the Great Martyr, has its headquarters in Woodside, New York. Built with the help of parishioners, it remains emblematic for Woodside's Orthodox community. As such, this international landmark is a beacon of hope for those who share the Orthodox faith and a source of inspiration for the members of this parish but also for those who wish to join and participate in the services officiated by the parish priest.

The church was and is an oasis of blessing and comfort in times of peace and abundance, war and sadness. St. Hierarch Nicholas & St. George the Great Martyr Church, anchors us all to basic human virtues such as charity, love, decency, strength and justice. While the surrounding urban environment experienced constant change, this Romanian Orthodox Church continues to remain strong and to intensify its role in the education of young people.
